NEW! D.123. WWII Adolf Hitler profile plaque. The plaque is a wall hanging and is of AH's left face side. The plaque is a casting made from tombak. The piece is approximately 12" high by 8" wide. The plaque has a initial signature at the right lower bottom, JB. This is a texas veteran bring-back rescued from an estate sale. This is a scarce item as most of these type of items were subject to destruction during the post-war de-Nazification process. NEW! D.127. Very nice "first wax casting" Japanese bronze casting of a Tiger with the original fruit wood pedestal (13 1/2" long by 7 3/4' wide by 1 1/4" high) . The bronze casting is from the Meiji Period and was cast between 1850 - 1899. It is know in Japan as a Meiji Bronze Okimono Tiger. The bronze is 13 1/4" long by 7 1/4" high at the highest and 3 1/4" wide at the shoulders. The bronze weighs approximately five (5) plus pounds. The patina and the meticulously applied stripes really make this antique piece most desireable. The Tiger casting does have a maker's chop underneath on the belly area. Great piece to complement a collection of Japanese antiquities.............................................$3500.NEW!

NEW! D.128. Very nice Japanese Meiji Period cast Bronze Okimon Tiger (1850 -1899). The Tiger is 22 1/2" long by 6 1/2" high by 4 1/2" wide at the shoulders. The bronze is an excellent example of "first" wax casting. The age patina and stripes really make the bronze's appearance. The Tiger has ruby red eyes. The bronze comes with the original wooden mount pedetal. There is a chop mark underneath on the belly identifying the maker. This piece is a fine Japanese antique that needs an appreciative home......................................$4400.NEW!

NEW! D.129. 1889 German Youth Choral Presentation Walking Stick. Very nice German men's youth chorus presentation walking stick dated 1889 signed by one hundred plus members. The cane is 36 1/4" long, 1 1/4" " wide and the stag antler handle is 5 3/4" long. The handle is massive and bears a large gold initial (ALM) logo on the top. Between the handle and the cane is a large gold wash "fushi" heavily engraved with an inscribed presention " MIT GLIEDER DES JUNGER MENNERCHOR IHREM Praesidenten Armo L Meonhardt JULI 1889". The entire cane, when made, had the chorus group members fully sign their names on paper. The paper was then wrapped around the wood and then varnished over to become a signature cover over the wood. Some of the paper has worn off toward the cane's base. This is a WWI American veteran bring back. Very nice walking stick............................................................$225.NEW!

SOLD! D.3. Very unique statue of the German Soldier--Protector of the nation. Marble base and marble stand back-drop forming an alcove with a German soldier standing guard with the German Eagle directly behind him. Above the eagle and soldier is a Iron Cross. D.64. A very nice example of a reservist's commemorative canteen. It is a 5" diameter white porcelain canteen "housed " in a molded tin frame with a nickel plated stopper with a solid silvered Prussian Eagle mounting. The canteen hanger , in regimental colors, is still attached and in good condition. Both sides of the canteen are hand painted and glazed. The front shows the reservist soldier with his horse, in very nice detail. His unit was stationed in Lubben. On the back, in painted hand script is his reservist time: 1904-1906 together with his artillery regiment number. Also there is an extensive description of his services. This item is in very fine condition especially considering it's construction, porcelain, and it's age. It is a fine yet rare Imperial soldiering service commemorative example.......................................$375.

D.66. A unique friendship/victory gift to Feldwebel Otto Pancke from his admiring friends and comrades, Adolf and Paul. The gift is a French constructed cigar box cover, common in the twenties and thirties. The box cover is silver plate over copper with highly decorated sides of silver plate grape vines, design. The top is a plaque with a silver plated brass fence perimeter with four silver plated brass French Eagles, two on the rear side and one each on each side. The engraved inscription consists of a German Army Eagle on the top followed by Feldwebel Otto Pancke. Zur ewigen Erinnerrung am unsere"Beutezuge" im nun fur immer besetzten "Franzosen - Land". Paris 1949- Deine Kameraden - Adolf und Paul. There is a silver smith's hallmark B F enclosed in a oval. This one of kind item is of historic significance. Obviously these three soldiers were stationed in then occupied Paris. A wonderful piece of history from the other side. D.67. WWI desk top patriotic art consisting of a marble base approximately 4" in circumference topped with a solid brass casting of an M-18 helmet sitting astride two "potato masher" model grenades. Both then sit on a raised brass mound of earth. A very nice unique piece......................................$325.

D.82. Spanish American War. Very nice commemorative glass pitcher (9" high, 5" in diameter with a 7" width between the pouring spout and the handle) commemorating the Battle of Manila Bay and Admiral Dewy. The pitcher is a one piece pressed glass pitcher mounted on a glass pedestal with a glass handle. The pitcher has a raised relief of Admiral Dewy, his ship the Olympia, his two star admiral flag, crossed cannons, a field artillery piece, cannonball stacks, crossed flags of the Cuban and American flag, signal corps insignia, and crossed swords. It is a very nice and unique ornamental commemorative piece..................$95.

D.100. An exquisite WWII Japanese oblong porcelain military commemorative sake bottle with raised relief of mainland China, Indo-China and the Japanese home islands. The bottle commemorates a Japanese Army units military travels and battle assignments along the coastline of China and it's interior. The bottle is a glazed beige finish with a gold top rim and gold kanji characters identifying the army unit. In addition there is a magnificent army glazed logo of the Japanese Rising Sun flag, helmet and flower blossoms. The bottle is 5 1/4" high by 2 1/8" wide. This is a very nice and rare surviving piece of WWII Japanese military history...........................................................$245.

D.104. Very nice 9" by 9" shadow box framed swastika emblem. The emblem is square in shape and is 4 1/4" by 4 1/4'. It is made of red felt with a sewn on white roundel with a "running" black swastika made from individual pieces hand sewn on the white back ground. It was not part of an arm band or miniature parade flag. It may have been part of a desk set. This is a very nice ensemble.............................$ 165.

D.106. Very nice pre-WWI regimental pipe (60" in length) commemorating service time in the horse drawn 9th regiment, 5th battalion, gun number 11. The pipe's components include ornately carved stem wood, stag horn, a metal horse and artillery piece (one wheel missing). The pipe's porcelain smoking bowl and woven cloth mouth piece are in fine condition. Please see the pipe's photos as a written description does not do the pipe and it's condition justice. A magnificent piece of German stadt military art.........................................$675.

D.109. Very nice desk top detailed replica of a WWI heavy artillery howitzer. The cannon is mounted on a black bakelite pedestal (7 7/8" long by 3 5/8" wide by 5/8" high). The cannon is made of cast medal and brass and is 7 5/8" long by 3 3/8" high at the highest (barrel top to pedestal base) and 3 1/2" at the widest (wheel to wheel). This is the period piece I have ever seen. Very nice.....................$ 325.

SOLD! D.110. A pair of historic bronze models of the monumental nine foot cast bronze art deco statutes in the courtyard of the Court of Honor of the New Reichskanzlei, Berlin, Germany. The statutes were destroyed during the Battle of Berlin. Arno Breker was the sculptor who made "Partei" (holding an Olympic torch and "Wehrmacht" (holding an upraised sword). The two models were obtained in Dresden, Germany from a private party. Both nude statutes of male warriors are 5 1/2" high and stand on a metal pedestal which is then mounted onto a black marble pedestal 2 1/2" by 2 1/2" by 3/4" high. Both marble bases are still in their original wrapping paper as the ensembles were never put together. All of the statute components are in good condition with the statutes retaining some of their gold wash. A real find as items such as these were either destroyed or confiscated by the occupation authorities........................................$325.SOLD!

D.115. Very nice Imperial German bronze eagle mounted on a two piece solid marble base. The eagle shows signs of once having a gilt wash. The statue is 8" high, 6" wide at the wing spread and 5" in depth. It is a very nice casting and must have adorned someone's Berlin salon during the Kaiser Seit.....................................$375.

D.118. Very nice massive WW II era Luftwaffe Flak (Machtiger Schutz-Adler) trophy in very fine condition. The trophy has a block granite pedestal 6" wide by 6" depth by 5 1/2" high. Mounted on this pedestal is a bronze patina large metal eagle with out stretched wings (15 1/2" wing span). The eagle is well cast. The maximum height of the trophy is 14". Hanging from the eagle's beak by a brass link chain is a brass plaque (3" wide by 1 7/8" high). Engraved on the plaque is a large Luftwaffe eagle logo. Above the eagle is the word Flakregiment and below the eagle on either side of the running swastika is the number 12. This trophy was presented to Flak Regiment # 12 for winning a Flak (anti-aircraft artillery) shooting competition. This is a wonderful one of a kind period military trophy....................................$975.

D.119. Very nice large Mauser rifle shooting trophy used as an award for a German military rifle marksmanship competition. The trophy is 19 1/4" high. The trophy has several main components, a round 4 -" high pedestal base with a brass pedestal base (2 1/2" high) mounted on top supporting two (2) metal detailed Mauser rifles with slings (10" high). The rifles then support another brass "globe" on which is then mounted a very nice solid cast eagle with a 5" wing spread. The base pedestal shows some bottom side wear and is missing to whom the trophy was awarded to. This is a very nice period "schutzen" trophy.....................................................$315.

SOLD! D.120. Very nice massive French bronze embassy identication shield (27 1/2" high by 21 1/4" wide by one 1/4" depth). The shield has the raised relief of the French Republics' fasci insignia enclosed within a wreath of leaf clusters. Above this design is the word LEGATION. Below the logo are the words De La Republique Francaise. Parts of the shield's face retain the original gold leaf. On the bottom right front is the name DEVAMBEZ CR. This is a magnificent piece that most likely was mounted on the main entrance gate or gate pillar of a French embassy or consulate..........................$1600.SOLD!

D.122. Very nice German large table placket with stand commemorating the 1938 union (Auchshloss) between Germany and Austria. The plackets composition consists of a alabaster backing (15" high by 1" wide by 11 3/4" wide) on which a metal high relief left side of face portrait of Adolph Hitler is mounted. The relief is 8 1/2" wide by 11" high and is dated at the bottom right corner 13. III. 38 ( March 13, 1938). On the left corner is a name SHARYTKA. The stand is made of bronze. This is a very nice immediate pre-war item commemorating, at that time, a great event between both nations. The condition is quite good and the item scarce...............................$875.

SOLD! D.70. A pair of fine limited edition French prints done during the First World War. The first print is of three French soldiers corned at Verdun fighting to the last. Their expressions of determination among war's horror is so realistic that it holds you when you look at them. The second print is of a farmer and his little daughter finding a dead French soldier and grieving for him. This one is also quite moving. Both prints are numbered 25 of 50, thus a very limited quantity were produced. Both prints are titled, the first Les Ramparts de Verdun, the second isSont Luee. The prints are the same size, 16 " wide by 22" in height. Both are nicely framed with black wood and a nice gray matting, 24 3/4" wide by 31" in height. The first print, Verdun, has a color crayon or pencil drawing in the lower left corner illustrating two German soldiers surrendering. The second print has a pencil drawing in the lower right corner of a sitting and resting exhausted French soldier. Both "cartoons" were done to personalize the prints. The artist has signed both prints. The signature is in a flourishing script which is hard to read but we think the name is Flonay. We would like to offer the prints as a pair................$675.SOLD!

D.71. Franco-Prussian era painting, oil on London canvass, by R. de Vane. Roger de Vane was from the French/English School and did a number of magazine illustrations. This painting's subject is of a Prussian Uhlan soldier carrying a white standard (flag) of surrender. The painting was to have been used as a cover for Paris Match but it was the French who actually surrendered. It is a very nice detailed study, quite an accurate portrait of the uniform of the day. The painting is "housed" in a period frame with the overall dimensions being 17 1/2" W by 23 1/4" L. The painting is in very fine condition ............................$2775.

D.73. Ship's oil portrait of the HMS Thunderer, starboard side view painted by A.W. Dunham, RMA (Royal Marine Artist). The Thunderer was launched Feb.1,1911 and displaced 22,500 lbs. The portrait hung onboard in the officer's mess. The portraits shows the ship underway in the English Channel. The o/c measures 25"W by 17"H. The framed dimensions are 32"W by 24"H. The painting was cleaned and re-varnished in 1992. A wonderful and historic British Naval painting....................................................$2,300.

SOLD! D.74. Ship's oil portrait of the HMS Lion, Admiral Beatty's flagship at the Battle of Jutland. The oil on canvass was painted by J. Glendinnini, RMA and is a portside view of the ship underway in the English Channel with the white cliffs of Dover in the background. This portrait hung onboard in the ship's officer's mess and was cleaned and re-varnished in 1990. The framed dimensions are 16.5"H by 28"W; the canvass is 13"H by 24.5"W. The Lion suffered heavy damage at Jutland from German naval fire. This is another very nice and historical painting...........................................................$2100.SOLD!

D.78 . Framed original WWII German War art. The painting (water color) is a full portrait of two German Afrika Korp soldiers and one Italian soldier, the subject being an action combat event wherein one German soldier and the Italian soldier are carrying a wounded German comrade to safety using his rifle as a sling seat. The uniform detail ,background and action are fantastic. The painting is framed in a period German oak frame, retains the original matting and has been de-acidified in order to preserve the art. The painting is 13 3/4" W by 14 1/2" H. The overall framed dimensions is 17" W by 21" H. The painting dates from the Fall of 1943 and was obviously painted by a professional war artist. The original backing was German newspaper, specifically the Schwarzwalder Tagblatt, the Nazi party's newspaper. All the pages that were used have been de-acidified and placed between acid free plastic sheets for preservation. The headline article is about the third major battle along the highway in Smolensk on the Eastern Front. The newspaper contains military and civilian obituaries, the equivalent of classified ads, articles and news from the various fighting fronts and regional home front news. The painting, newspaper and all the associated period framing and matting material probably originated from the Villingen and Donaueschingen area as most of the personal and advertisement response addresses have those two names. This is a fantastic piece..................................$1,225.

SOLD! D.85. A very nice framed oil on board painting of the German Kriegsmarine U-Boot pens facility under construction in occupied France at La Pallice (La Rochelle). The painting was done by an OKW Sonderfuhrer assigned to the German Navy in France. The painting is signed MERCKER and was painted in 1942. The painting was recently obtained from a Berlin auction house. It is in very nice condition.........................................$1500.SOLD!

D.91. WWII large framed German Kriegsmarine (German Navy) lithograph of a German U Boot under way on the surface in high seas. The print is under glass and is titled "U-Boot Im Atlantik-Sturm". The original was painted by the Kriegsmarine artist Adolph Rock 1943. The print dimensions are 24" wide by 16" in height and is in a large period wooden frame. The overall framed dimensions are 32" wide by 23.5" in height. This is a very nice war time propaganda piece...............................$425.

SOLD! D.96.Very nice framed 22" by 18 1/4" color lithograph titled "Zur Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit" for a soldier namedAdolf Schneider whose service time was 1998 to 1900 in the 1 Company 18 Kgl. Bayer. (Bavarian) Infant. Regt. Prinz Ludwig Ferdinand Landau. The lithograph has three (3) body portraits of the soldier in dress, summer and field uniforms. The lithograph was printed by J. SOLD! D.97.Very nice and extremely rare Wurttenburg soldier's commemorative service time lithograph. The soldier was Grenadier Reinhardt who served in 5. Comp. Grenadier-Regiment "Konig Karl" (5. Wurtt.) Nr. 123 Ulm 1907-1909. The framed colored lithograph is 16 1/4' wide by 21 1/2" high. The soldier is in parade dress uniform. SOLD! D.98.A very nice large framed Infantry reservist group portrait titled "Zur Erinnrung an Meine Dienstzeit" for a soldier member of "der Komp. Kgl. Bayr. 17. Infanterie-Regiment "Orff", Germershheim". The assembled officers and men are in dress winter uniforn in formal pose with their beer tankards and regimental smoking pipes. SOLD! D.99. Very large (28 1/2" wide by 23 1/2" high) framed commemorative lithograph for a soldier serving in the 7 Comp.Kaiser Alexander Garde Gren. Rgt. No 1. Berlin 1903-10. The soldier's name Gram. Muller. The multi-colored lithograph has three full body portraits of Muller in his garrison, Summer and full dress uniform(s). The lithograph was printed in Berlin by Arnold Weylandt, Berlin N, Friedrickstrasse No.105. A rare and beautiful lithograph.................................................................$375.SOLD!

D.117. Very nice WWII German war art just imported from Estonia. This piece depicts a Russian farm scene with the main house, barns and outbuildings and some livestock. The art was done is pencil and charcol by OKW assigned war artist Heinz Usefell. The picture is titled and signed. It is 10 1/2" wide by 8 1/2" and is mounted on an artist board 15 3/4" wide by 12" high. There is some age patina and spotting on the art. On the back the artist used the mounting as a sketch board sketching several buildings, a horse and a pig, St. Malo logo AND a helmeted side profile of a German soldier (self portrait - ?). Most of the feldzug war has been lost or destroyed. This is a nice example of a surviving piece.................................$175.
